Aloo Keema Mattar
Ingredients
- 1 Onion (diced)
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 2lbs Ground Beef
- 1-2 Adobo Chipotle Peppers (including some of the sauce)
- 1 tbsp Ground Coriander
- 1.5 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1.5 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 tsp Ground Cayenne
- 1 tsp Ground Turmeric
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 3 Potatoes (diced)
- 28oz Diced Tomatoes
- 1 cup Green Peas
Instructions
- Saute the onion and garlic on medium-high heat until soft and begins to brown. It there are some bits stuck to the pan, can add water to loosen them.
- Stir in the ground beef and peppers. Cook until beef is browned and crumbly.
- Reduce the heat to low-medium and stir in the coriander, salt, cumin, cayenne and turmeric.
- Add potatoes and tomatoes. Cover and simmer until potatoes are soft. Sprinkle the garam masala afterwards and incorporate in.
- Serve on rice.
Notes
- Can adjust the amount of cayenne used depending on desired spice level.
- Makes a great filling for fried goods such as samosas and spring rolls
